Dear Briar Crest Parents, Guardians, and Students:
Another exciting school year is about to begin and I am looking forward to serving as the principal of Briar Crest Elementary School! I hope that the summer has brought you fun times with your family and friends and that you have taken the opportunity to continue reading together each day! Since you have been away, there are many wonderful changes at Briar Crest including new classrooms, a new office, entrance and updates to the existing classrooms. Our teachers and staff have been working hard to prepare the building and classrooms for your child’s arrival. We are looking forward to the many rewarding experiences that will be offered to our students this year through classroom instruction, field trips, after school activities, and much more.
Parental involvement is very important at Briar Crest Elementary School. We believe that parents are the most important people in a child’s education. We also know that you have many gifts and talents that you can bring to our school community. Together, we will help each student become successful!
Again, I am looking forward to meeting and working with you and your child during the 2008-2009 school year. Please feel free to call, email, or stop by if you have any questions or concerns.

Bus Schedules: It is important that the school office be aware of any changes in transportation needs such as using a sitter or daycare in our attendance area. We recommend that an adult be at the bus stop with students each morning. **An adult must be at the bus stop when kindergarten students are dropped off after school, if no adult is at the stop, kindergarten students will be returned to school when the route has been completed - a parent or designated adult will need to pick up the kindergartener from school. If you have any questions regarding transportation issues, please contact Mr. Steve Gerke, Director of Transportation for the Pattonville School District at 213-8125.
